#173 CORGI – MARCOS VOLVO 1800GT (Nr. 324) (1966)

One of the best selling cars of 1966 (848 thousand units sold), maybe because of it’s sportive look, or maybe because of its great features: Opening doors and bonnet, moulded interior with pilot, spring “Glidamatic” suspension and detailed engine.

This model is also available in blue with white stripes, being the blue one rarer than the white one. It was also released in the Whizzwheels series, but without the practicable doors, and a poorer manufacture.

The box, decals and everything else in this car is original and in great shape.

This was a short entry. Next entry dealing with Corgi Toys will tell the story of the company from the very beginning to nowadays, probably splitted in two parts.
